| Job Description | This role requires a hands-on tech professional who can utilize their business process expertise in the broadband cable, and/or CLEC industry - building accurate customer requirement optimizing the implementation of the product. The Business Systems Analyst will establish the customer requirements, map requirements to the product, create functional specs for identified gaps. The Business Analyst needs to consistently meet / exceed the stated goals and objectives: RESPONSIBILITIES: Analyze customer business requirements and develop process flows, data flows, and business requirements documentation Conduct impact analysis and document customer business processes. Provide expert consultation on complex business processes, and provide creative solutions to ambiguous business problems. For a customer implementation, develop detailed customer requirements and gap analysis with respect to product capabilities. Provide guidance and assistance to the Design phase of the project, in cooperation with engineering. Lead the test plan development process by working with the test team to develop a test strategy, test cases, scenarios, and specifications that assess whether the system satisfies all of the customer requirements. Drive the technical resolution of issues arising from changes to scope, requirements, design, etc. Work with Product Management to define and prioritize features and functions of product roadmap - ensure alignment between customer requirements and product roadmap. Actively participate in project review meetings. Identify potential schedule or project problems and provide solutions that alleviate the problems. Participate in post project reviews with fellow team members. Provide input on performance of project resources as requested. Assist Sales in the preparation of RFI/RFP responses, and perform technical and functional presentations to prospective customers Participate in the development, review, and adherence to project and department standards for quality, proficiency, and customer satisfaction. Participate in the development and delivery of specific training materials required for the customer implementation. |
| Desired Profile | Outstanding communication skills: verbal, written and listening. Good understanding of MS Office, viz. word, excel.. Excellent interpersonal and influential skills to achieve successful results working closely with customer and internal resources Must be extremely customer focused and follow through on commitments with customers and fellow project resources. Effective data collection and analytical skills. Proven ability to achieve challenging goals and objectives. Must be pro-active, able to take the initiative and operate independently. Able to prioritize multiple tasks to make effective use of time Knowledge of the Telephony, CLEC and VOIP industry and knowledge and demonstrated experience with inter-carrier processes such as: E911, LSR, CARE, Directory Listing, etc is highly desirable. Knowledge of the cable broadband industry or demonstrated expertise in a particular area (DOCSIS, VOIP, etc.) is an asset. Knowledge of Telecom billing processes. |
