Job Description
Business Support Finance forms part of the overall Reuters Finance team, partnering with business management to maximise business performance, provide quality business analysis and execute key initiatives.
Business Support focuses on planning, analysis and decision support in partnership with the business. Two focused teams deliver support to the business in Sales and Service and Business Divisions with this role being part of the Business Divisions - Editorial & Data business support finance team.
To deliver consistently great service to the Editorial and Data businesses located in Asia, through high quality, timely and proactive financial support.
The position directly supports the Asia Editorial (Text) senior management and the Bangalore Site senior management, but also includes indirect support for other Editorial/Data groups in Asia and liaison with non-Editorial/Data groups based in Bangalore.

The role involves both financial management (of a 30m budget) and analytical decision support. The successful candidate will join the Business Support Finance team for Editorial & Data, reporting to the Global Finance Manager, Editorial & Data.
Primary responsibilities:
Primary finance contact point for business management.
Produce, review and present monthly analysis of results (costs, headcount, capex and scorecard metrics) versus budget and forecasts/outlooks.
Preparation of the annual business plan, budget and periodical annual forecasts/outlooks, as well as the management of ongoing budget transfers/costs with other functions and support business management on any long range planning.
Assist in the preparation of business plans / business case analysis for new projects (including options available), working closely with different functional managers to agree planning assumptions, scope and objectives e.g. Property expansion proposals.

Build financial models using data from financial systems and other sources, to support business decisions and the execution of strategic and tactical initiatives.
Identification of financial opportunities and exposures, working with management to deliver cost savings and efficiencies.
Support the management and analysis of investment plans e.g. Core Plus spends for Bangalore Property expansion.
Respond to any queries and requests from Global Finance for reporting and analysis.
Work closely with the Asia RSC to ensure accurate financials and timely reporting, including improving understanding of Balance Sheet opportunities and exposures.
Drive any internal control improvements required from a Bangalore site perspective.
Contribute and present, where required, business presentations for local, regional, and/or global management.
Provide ad-hoc financial analysis to suort business decisions.
Desired Candidate Profile
Educational Qualifications CA/MBA(Finance) with at least 3 years post qualification experience; MBA (Finance) from Tier 1 B-schools

Required skills:
At least 1 year's Financial Planning & Analysis/Business Support experience, preferably in an MNC
Strong financial management skills
Strong financial modelling and analysis skills
Experience working with senior business management
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to work in cross-functional /cross-cultural teams.

Certifications: Professional Accountancy qualification; MBA (Finance) from Tier 1 B-schools
