Job Description
Dell Analytics Business Unit is looking for high powered and quantitatively oriented business analysts to support Marketing Analytics function for Dell in the Financial Services Domain.
Principal Accountabilities
- Analyst will be required to analyze specific business problems and drive value in strategic areas of business. An array of analytical tools will be available for use depending on the skills of the candidate.
- He / she would typically handle 2-3 high impact projects at any time which should result in bottom line impact for Dell.
- In addition the analyst would be required to understand the business model and the information available for analysis. Adhoc requirements would need to be fulfilled from time to time as well.
Scope
Would work independently with internal customers in a consultative role.
Typically the customers would be Dell Senior Marketing Managers/Directors located in US.
Might be required to travel to US when required.
Would need to collaborate across functions to execute analytics projects.
Complexity
Highly complex analytical work.
Analyst would be wholly responsible for driving value in the area of responsibility.
Typical results would include driving additional Sales for Dell thru various marketing campaigns/ actions.
This is an Individual Contributor role and would not have any people management responsibility

Knowledge and Skills
Ideal Candidate would have strong analytical skills, ability to understand business situations and provide data backed analysis.
Hands-on experience with data analysis tools would be an added advantage.
The candidate would be required to communicate actively within teams and with the counterparts in the US. Thus should have excellent team and above average verbal & written communication skills.
Ability to learn would be critical as well.
Qualifications and minimum work experience
MBA from premier institute.
1-4 years of experience with proven track record of performance.
Prior basic knowledge of SAS and SQL in an analytics environment will be advantageous
